Iona is famouse for its historic Abbey, the first Abbey in Scotland, burial place of many early kings.

Most visits to Iona are from Fionnphort. Some tours can be taken from Oban that consist of a ferry trip to Craignure on the southeast side of Mull, bus trip to Fionnphort on the west side of Mull, then the ferry or a boat trip to Iona.
